What does it mean to make Jesus the Lord of your life?
You may have heard many different terms used to describe making Jesus your Lord: getting saved, becoming a new creation, getting born again- just to name a few. No matter what you call it- it means just one thing: Accepting Jesus Christ as the Son of God who died and rose again-and making Him Lord in your life. God- the creator of Heaven and Earth, sent His only son, Jesus, to make a way for YOU to have eternal life in Heaven with Him. It says so in God’s Word, the Bible.
*John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son. That whosoever would believe in Him would not perish, but have eternal life.”
The key is just believing.
God made it so easy for us!
What else does the Bible say
about this?
* Acts 2:21 “Whoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
* Romans 10:9 “If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”
I’m a good person! Don’t all
good people go to Heaven?
No one can earn the gift of going to Heaven. God made only one way to get there! Being a good person is GREAT, but it cannot give you eternal life in Heaven!
* Ephesians 2:8-9 ” For it is by grace that you have been
saved, through faith-and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God- not by works so that no one can boast.”
* Romans 3:23 ” For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”
God loves you! He loves you so much that He wants to be with you forever! He wants to give you peace and joy and a happy heart. The Bible says that every good and perfect gift comes from Him.
Commitment to Jesus – Prayer of Salvation
Dear Heavenly Father, I come to You in the Name of Jesus. I call upon You Lord and confess that Jesus is my Lord and I believe in my heart that God has raised Him from the dead. Jesus, I ask You to come into my heart right now and forgive me of all of my sin.
I am Yours. I am saved. Thank You Lord
